Therefore, ULI Atlanta, the preeminent, multidisciplinary real estate forum in Atlanta, is calling for urban innovation grant ideas. So far, suggestions include:
-Developing and/or implementing a community vision or growth plan for a neighborhood within ULI Atlanta?s region (Georgia, Alabama and eastern Tennessee).
-Offering a land use/development educational program for local ULI leadership, private and non-profit developers and/or elected officials
-Organizing regional/interjurisdictional cooperation projects
-Creating programs or studies related to infrastructure, sustainability and smart growth, urban revitalization, or other topics relevant to the Atlanta community
-Implementing recommendations from a Technical Assistance Program (TAP) on continued development in historic structures/parts of town
-Examining vehicles for gap financing
-Funding a regional GIS database

After review, the most promising grants will be submitted to the ULI Foundation. ULI Atlanta is privileged to be a leading District Council in terms of winning ULI Foundation grants.
The 75th Anniversary Urban Innovation grant winners will be announced at the 2011 fall meeting in Los Angeles.
